JOB TYPE:  Seasonal Full Time / Part Time

Our Tour Guides and Drivers will be responsible for the daily bicycle tour operations at the Myra Canyon trail, providing historic tour commentary on guided tours, and ultimately ensuring that our passengers have the trip of a lifetime. We are looking for people to join our team who possess a friendly and outgoing personality, a passion for nature and the outdoors, and a commitment to excellence.

  • The ability to speak a second language (Dutch/French/German/Spanish)

Responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently maintain prepared tour schedule
  • Always be on time
  • Passionately deliver commentary and historic stories and facts to clients throughout the tour
  • Prepare and know your tour schedule
  • Handle booking and waiver documents
  • Connect with people

Qualifications & Skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Be able to bicycle a distance of 30 km
  • Able to lift 35 lbs bikes on and off trailer
  • Being reasonably physically fit and able to bike multiple days in a row
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and work under pressure
  • Be able to respond to changing conditions or unexpected events in a calm manner
  • Awareness of safety and comfortability issues
  • Ability to speak a second language is an asset – please indicate on resume

Experience and Certifications/Licenses required

  • Previous experience in the capacity of a Tour Guide is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s licence (Class 4 Unrestricted Driver’s Licence)
  • Experience driving with trailer is an asset
  • Provide an ICBC drivers abstract
  • First Aid Certificate (Mandatory – to obtain before start date) – Wilderness First Aid a bonus
  • Recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Permitted to work legally in Canada

Payment Structure: Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications (to be discussed)
