Monday, February 6 and 27 from 10am to 12pm (noon): Dutch Preschool (Hollandse Peuter Groep)

Given by a retired Kindergarten/Preschool teacher, for five children 2 to 5 years of age, usually on the 1st & 4th Monday of each month (except July & August), from 10am to 12pm (noon). There is story time, music, crafts and playtime, all in Dutch. There is a $3 charge per child for snacks and craft materials. The location is in north Surrey near King George & 96th Avenue. Saturday, February 11: Dutch Family Snow shoe/Tubing Event. 10am to 12pm, at Cypress Mountain

We are looking forward to meet Dutch families on a snow shoe walk on Cypress Mountain. Some families might like to go tubing as their children are too small for a walk. A chance for the children to speak Dutch together and to make Dutch friends. And for Dutch parents to connect. We'll likely walk for 2 hours and end with a hot chocolate and lunch (bring or buy your own lunch) at Hollyburn Lodge.

We will be leaving at 10am from the ticket booth. Please arrive by 9:30am to rent your snowshoes and your trail ticket, if required.

Sunday, March 2017 (Date TBA): Dutch Family Pot-Luck Lunch and Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30am to 1:30pm in Burnaby. Each family should bring their own bag of eggs (to hide) as well as a dish of food to share for the Pot-Luck lunch. Sunday, March 2017 (Date TBA): Enjoy a Lunch Buffet with Horse Racing Entertainment, 12:00pm to 4:00pm, at Fraser Downs in Cloverdale, Surrey. This is an event that the whole family can enjoy. There are floor to ceiling windows and each table in the "Homestretch" dinning area also has an individual small TV screen to see the horses even closer. Doors open: 11:45pm. Buffett: 12:15pm to 2:15pm, includes salad bar, hot dishes, roast meat, and a choice of 2 from an array of desserts. Races take place from 12:45pm to 4:00pm. Watch 9 to 12 live exciting horse races and place a wager if you feel so inclined.

$30 per person includes the buffet, non-alcoholic beverages (tea, coffee, juice, or pop), 3 programs per table to share, tip & HST.

Admission for children, 10 years or younger is $15 each. Reservations and pre-payment are required. 

We will reserve 5 tables for 6 people each, so there will be room for 30 people.
